Weve had a wonderful time in Chiang Mai since we returned from our trek--visited lots of temples, including the famous one atop Doi Sutep, the big walking street market around the main gate in the old city wall, several night bazzars, some lovely galleries, relaxing in our lovely hotel. Weve also had wonderful times with Jeremy Senterfitts high school friend and soccer teammate, Dean Bordeaux, his lovely wife and two beautiful children. Its amazing to be watch how Nam Kang, their 5 year old, so easily goes from Thai to English! Had a lovely dinner at their home one evening and a super day visiting the most unusual waterfall weve ever seen. As there is such a heavy concentration of calcium in the water you can climb up the waterfall barefoot and your bare feet dont slip on the smooth rocks--its nicknamed the sticky waterfall for that reason--hard to really describe but Ive never seen anything like it. Most of the pics I took were w/the camera and not the phone but here are just a few--we fly back to Bangkok this afternoon.
