Weve had some frustrating results with all the arrests of poachers in the past couple of weeks....seems the Zimbabwean Public Service is as corrupt as the day is long! Despite AMPLE evidence in three cases in which 4 eland and two wildebeest died, two suspects files were lost and the third did not warrant appearing before the judge, according to the Public Prosecutor who seemed more intent on defending the perpetrator than prosecuting him, and he was let go. HOWEVER, the very same poacher (who has been in our books since 2005 for multiple poaching incidents) was arrested by the anti-poaching team next door, this time with 1 eland, 1 kudu, 1 wildebeest, 3 impala AND a donkey (which he killed with a blow to the back of the neck with an axe for not being able to carry all the meat he had loaded on it!)! Reconcile, we will put you away sooner or later! (SPCA will hear about this too!) All on the very next day after his release......
