Weve read several reports on Facebook about some individuals who have been bothering some of our visitors at the hotel grounds (in/around the Abdijbar). Even though the Abdijbar is not part of the convention itself, and even though at this point we cannot confirm nor deny the accusations made, we take the safety of our visitors very seriously. Our security team has caught two hotel visitors matching the description in these reports trying to gain access to Abunai! on Saturday night and have removed them from the convention grounds. Weve also contacted the hotel to inquire with their bar personnel if theyve heard or seen any out of the ordinary in regards to these individuals, or any similar incidents. We urge visitors who may have seen or heard anything to contact us directly by e-mail at [email protected], so we can investigate and resolve this matter thoroughly and correctly. Finally, one important final remark: If you experience anything unsettling at the convention or hotel grounds, we urge you to contact a member of our staff or steward team immediately. Its difficult to investigate or resolve incidents when the convention is over, but if you contact us during the event, we can act immediately and hopefully resolve the situation before it can worsen or happen again.
