Weve spent the last few weeks heavily going through job applications and have finally chosen our first Blood Music employee! Anyone who hasnt heard from us should hear back from us today. Now we have one extra mouth to feed, and this is going to get interesting. Frankly, it feels a bit gutsy to expand in an industry where most of it is dying a painful death. But we will push through. :) What this should mean for the near future: 1. We will attempt to overhaul our systems and make many processes more efficient. 2. We will look into alternate shipping (courier) and payment (credit card) options, etc. and hope we will find better solutions. Things that weve been meaning to do for years. 3. We should start shipping in-stock items out much faster - we hope for a turnaround of only a few days vs. the month weve been needing previously. 4. We hope to be able to release things a bit more quickly - less waiting around for your favorite records to come to pre-order and more great stuff coming from us. 5. We should have less down-time for vacations. 6. We aim to start adding distribution records to our store so that there will be other things to order from our shop besides just Blood Music releases. There should be many other positive side effects, as well - plans that we have for the future. Thanks for all the continued support, it has meant so much to us. And to all those who whine about our prices - its pricing accordingly that has allowed us to do this and do it properly. So keep that vitriol at the back of your throat and choke on it. ;) This is our first time hiring anyone full-time, so its gonna get interesting! We hope that things just keep on continuing to get better from here!
