Weve stopped listening, really listening. Maybe out of necessity. Were in an age of information overload, if we listen to everything we might just spiral into overwhelm. Everybody has a story to tell and now we all have the means to tell it, openly and freely. Were distracted, our attention is fractured, our minds are busy. Yesterday I woke up in the middle of the night with the words whats the point of being present? in my mind. I wrote them down. And went back to sleep :) When I woke I pondered on that question. It seems now that the answer lies in what Ive just written. When were present weve returned to our natural state. And this is the piece - in our natural state we are free to hear our own clarity, our own intuition. When were present we allow ourselves to be guided by our wisdom. When were not present were caught up in and influenced by the stories of the world. When were present were free to create our own story. Were free to be the hero in our own heroes journey.
