We’d like to ask for 3 minutes of your time today to help secure a spot for Audubon at an influential conference this fall. We’ve developed a panel proposal – featuring Audubon staff Marshall Johnson and Luisa Arnedo – for the 2014 South by Southwest (SXSW) Eco festival, but we need your help to ensure that it is picked. “Inclusion & Diversity: Democratizing Conservation” will focus on the direct correlation between environmental efforts that engage new and diverse audiences and conservation success, using examples from Audubon’s Toyota TogetherGreen program and other initiatives. The panel will feature two Audubon staff members: Marshall Johnson (Vice President and Executive Director, Audubon Dakotas) and Luisa Arnedo (Manager, Toyota TogetherGreen Fellows Program) and other members, including moderator and science journalist Brandon Keim. Voting counts for 30% of the decision-making process, so we need your support. First, please take a moment to create a SXSW account (https://auth.sxsw/users/sign_in ). You can use your email address for this step. Then, once you have created your account, just visit our panels page and click the thumbs up button to cast your vote: panelpicker.sxsw/vote/28764 The voting period closes this Friday, May 16. Please vote today and spread the word to your networks. SXSW Eco attracts a global community to explore, engage and co-create solutions for a sustainable world. Hosting a panel discussion at SXSW Eco will provide Audubon an opportunity position our conservation successes and our work to engage diverse communities in conservation action before an influential audience of environmental professionals, journalists, and industry influencers who are interested in the intersection of conservation and innovation. Thank you very much,
