We’ll Deploy More Strategies To Sustain On Going Development- Info Commissioner Ogun State Ministry of Information and Strategy says, 2015 will witness the making of copious use of strategies to effectively mobilize the entire citizenry for more positive development, hence it has proposed to spend the sum of N520m as its total expenditure. Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Barrister Yusuf Olaniyonu gave the assurance while defending the year 2015 budget before the State House of Assembly committee on Finance and Appropriation in Oke – Mosan, Abeokuta. Olaniyonu who explained that the Ministry would reposition the State and return it to its old glory through re-awakening of the people to embrace the State’s core values, said more would be done to ensure branding of the State to leverage on the successes achieved on developmental projects. According to him, the Ministry would continue to serve as the channel in the two way means of communication between the government and the governed to further promote transparency in governance. Doing the breakdown of the budget, the commissioner said the sum of N520m was the total expenditure out of which N420m would go for recurrent expenditure while N100m was earmarked for capital with capital receipt moved from N3m to N4m. He added that the Ministry’s editing suite would be upgraded to fit into OGBC and OGTV digital compliance, just as installation of new equipment like Digital Camera Project would be purchased for monitoring and efficient service delivery. Barr. Olaniyonu assured that the Ministry would improve on its service as the Public Relations Agency to various arms of government, while digital colour photo laboratory would be created.
