We’re getting very busy! We are currently roasting and tasting decaff beans from Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Rwanda. All the beans are decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process. Once we’ve determined which one offers the best flavour, we’ll add it to the product line. In addition, we are working on our first blend. We know our customers love their regular coffee in the morning, but would like something with a bit less caffeine in the afternoon. While Arabica beans have about half the caffeine of Robusta beans, we want to create a blend that is a mix of regular caffeinated and decaffeinated beans – a “Half-Caff”. We are excited about creating a flavourful coffee that can be enjoyed later in the day without the concern of consuming too much caffeine. We’ll keep you posted on our developments. We have to admit that we are thoroughly enjoying the process of roasting, tasting and discovering the different flavours offered by the coffee growing countries! :)
