We’ve now confirmed that the closure of Shone Avenue between West Dapto Road and Horsley Drive will go ahead from Monday 1 September (weather permitting). While the road’s closed you’ll need to detour via the Princes Highway. This work will replace the current undersized culvert on that section of road with a four lane bridge, making that route more reliable during flooding and better able to handle increased traffic. We expect the work to take around six months, so if weather and other conditions are favourable, the road and new bridge should open in February 2015.
