#WfWI began its work in Rwanda in 1997, three years after a genocide that left more than 800,000 dead and 2 million displaced. One year ago, with architectural expertise from award-winning architect Sharon Davis Design and initial investments from private donors, #WfWI opened its groundbreaking Women’s Opportunity Center (WOC) in Kayonza, located one hour from Rwanda’s thriving capital Kigali.
