What Does It Mean To Be Jewish Or Zionist? People who say that races do not exist do not understand the real meaning of this term. They infer from it that races are different species of human beings which is false. There is only one species. A race to a human is what breeds are to animals -- same species but different characteristics. So what is the best term to use for breeds of Jews? For example Jewish people from middle Europe (White race) are called Ashkenazi but are of a subculture Jewish (secular). Other examples are Sephardic, Mizrahic,and Khazarian,. There are many more examples. To sum it up Jews tend to be of the White race but of a subculture called ethnic Jews, Then there are those people who follow the religion of Judaism (religious). They may be of any race, ethnicity, or nationalism but tend to be ethnic Jews. And then we have Zionism. This is a political ideology which calls for nationalism for all ethnic Jews. However, just like with Judaism they nay be of any ethnicity or race but tend to be ethnic Jews.
