*What Fast Truckin’ is about* Fast Truckin’ in Australia in the 80’s & early 90’s was started by Stew Read a few years back. Originally started with the East Coast runners in mind, particularly on the Hume between Melbourne & Sydney, the Group has diverted away from the original intent quite a few times with trucks from all States & Territories accepted, with the exception of road trains & oversize loads. (You can read more in the About description originally written by Stew Read.) Several Admins may have come and gone but the late, great Darryl ‘Dash’ Thomas was never shy when it came to telling people that what they were posting either didn’t fit in here or didn’t belong. It’s in that spirit that Ross & I continue running the site as both Stew & Dash would have liked, and how the majority of you want it run. If you’ve been a long time member of this site, you will have seen and had an input into what is wanted on here, and what is not. If you’re a relatively new member, you would not be aware of how much this site has been cleaned up. All we ask is that you abide by the title of the Group when posting pics or posts to this site. Ask yourself – is it Fast Truckin’? Is it in Australia? And is it from the 80’s or early 90’s? We don’t want to see any pics, videos or advertisements unless they are from the 80’s & early 90’s, have to do with Fast Truckin’ and are Australian. Memes are also a big no – they weren’t around in the 80’s & early 90’s – we don’t want to see them here. Consider this site a time warp. If you have a friend or family member that for some reason is blocked from here and you would like to add them, ask either Ross or myself how to go about it by messaging either one of us. Ross looks after the new members by going through each and every applicant. If they look like they don’t belong – as in no pictures of trucks or anything to do with the industry – they get blocked. This is to stop the posting of ads for new phones, shoes and insurance. It is also to stop University studies, spam and mail order brides. Ross does an excellent job at keeping them out of here so you can enjoy the site, but we do understand that sometimes an innocent person may slip through the net. I’m in charge of the playground. If you spot something on here you don’t like or you think doesn’t belong, message me with your gripe and I’ll try and rectify it as soon as I can. If you report something, we can see what has been reported and who reported it, so it’s a lot better if you contact me or Ross to have it dealt with. That also goes for the over abuse of people on here. The occasional get stuffed is fine – full on abuse is not welcome and will not be tolerated. Abusing an Admin also gains you instant booting & blocking. Finally, if you think you’re being clever by blocking the Admins, think again. We can still see you and you will be booted, regardless of whether you have one or both blocked.
