What Hell is like Pt.1 I awoke to the smell of burning skin. My entire body was burning with an unbelievable pain. The world around me looked as though it were the remnants of a nuclear war. The land as far as my eyes could see was lit aflame by eternal fires that seemed somehow to spread but never diminish. I was not the only one in this damned place. Others, like me, were lying upon the ground, unclothed and disoriented. I could hear the distant screams of others, crying out for mercy. I struggled to rise but my body ached too much. I seemed to be on fire yet no flames licked the bareness of my unprotected skin. After lying there for a few moments I heard a god-awful shriek overhead. I just managed to look up in time to see a winged beast snatch away one of the men that was on the ground near me. Another of the harpies dove straight towards me, I would’ve run had I had the strength to move. It snatched me up in its ferociously sharp talons and flew me closer towards the agonizing screams. I panicked as the screams grew louder, closer, more pained. Panic tore through me, I felt a tear fall from my eye but it turned to steam before it could fall. I didn’t think that the terrors could grow any worse in this place, I was wrong…very wrong.
