What I am currently calling the mind control system can work using any biological need: the need to dream, the need for water, the need for food, the need for skin to skin contact, social needs, the need for sunlight, etc. The victim is kept from meeting their need any more than is necessary to keep them barely alive. The misery of the unmet biological need is temporarily relieved when they follow the orders of the system and that is how it controls. For example, this is how it would control a person using the need for water. It will keep the person dehydrated and at risk of dying of thirst. It will only allow a drink of water when the person follows orders. However, it will never allow them to drink enough water to fully relieve their dehydration. Constant pain from an inadequately met need is a given, regardless of your behavior, because that is how it is designed to work. If you are a government intelligence agency, please take a look at my childhood medical records and guess at how it was torturing me as a child. It should be very easy to figure out for anyone with such access.
