What I hate about critical thinking, is that you can teach it or pretend to teach it. Much like anything you can teach. Science, for example. Almost everyone will say they "know" science. Only a tiny fraction of people can tell you the first thing there is to know about it. So in actually afraid to encourage teaching critical thinking in classrooms, because I know that so many will teach bullshit and call it critical thinking without teaching anything remotely having to do with critical thinking, just like is often done with science.
