What I love about horse riding is everyone has their own method, it is always different to the next person which keeps it fresh and exciting. Through experience and influence from many trainers and riding/training lots of different horses is how I personally think we should all learn. I never want to be a replica of a trainer, I want to be my own person who has evolved through many experiences both good and bad to know what I want to do and what I dont want to do. All these things we learn should go up into our little mental toolbox ready for when we need them so we can be adaptable to every individual horse.There will always be politics in horses and it is almost always over whos method is right and whos is wrong. But how boring would it be if we all trained the same... wether it be classical or modern equitation, natural horsemanship/parelli, western, trick training, liberty etc etc who cares - as long as its effective, and the horse is happy, healthy and respected :)
