What I wish for all of you this Christmas is... That YOU get to decide whether to celebrate Christmas at all. That YOU get to decide who (if anyone) to have Christmas with. That YOU get to decide who (if anyone) to get presents for. That YOU get to decide how much money to spend (if any). That YOU get to decide what (if anything) you will eat and drink. Why do I wish all those things? Because Im an anarchist. And I think your life belongs to you. Yes, even most statists, in THIS context, would--for the most part--wish the same things for you. But Im not sure how they can advocate such ANARCHY on Christmas, when they want government making your choices and spending your money on most other days. Dont we at least need minimum gift expenditure laws to make people be generous? And if we dont legislatively mandate buying presents for everyone you know, someone might not get anything! Shouldnt the law make sure everyone is invited to Christmas dinner somewhere? In fact, if we dont require people to celebrate Christmas, it might not happen at all! If people are left in freedom, maybe no one will make any wreaths! And if there arent regulations, everyone might eat ten pounds of candy canes and everyone will get sick! Just think of the utter chaos that might ensue if we let people decide for themselves!! This is a national crisis!! We need Congress to give the President unlimited emergency powers to deal with this, or THERE WONT BE CHRISTMAS AT ALL!!!! (P.S. Have a merry, government-free Christmas this year.)
