What Ive learned in 41 years. ---dont judge a book by its cover..but read the damn book. ---be radically generous with your talents. It helps people be more open with theirs. --- if someone is on an important journey..such as life altering decisions or just want to learn to play piano, be an encourager, it challenges our own fears and ultimately is more in line with truth. --- say yes to things that scare you...no to things that fill you with dread. Do this 70% of the time. --- if you get the chance to walk with someone to the end of their life, do it. We are born and die alone..the experience isnt for them..its for you. -- never have hot dogs and jäger. Just..dont. Ok? -- laugh. A lot if you can. Be very silly. We are here for a blink of the eye and the things people share with me as memories are always very silly -- be creative. It heals deep wounds. -- never make jokes in airports or while crossing national borders. -- apologize. Be willing to admit fault. If you did nothing wrong and you are certain..dont. -- spend some time with your ghosts. Just remember you cant live there. -- exercise! Not to lose weight but to discover your own body. Being in and present in my body is changing my life. -- if you have to fight, fight. -- leave people with kindness and love..even if they are unkind to you. Dont let them off..but say what you have to say with a direct, clear and empathetic voice. --- spend time with animals --- dont fear experimenting with your own identity. If you dont value or like something, fine. But, dont be afraid to break out of your own script of who you think you are...because we never fully know. --- dance. Like...for real. -- do not fear tears, screams, kicks and punches--being vulnerable is an art. --- realize as soon as you are able--no one lives your life EXCEPT you. You have to feel peace and that means YOU have to find it --- grow something --- enjoy just the kiss. Even if you have been together forever. Enjoy the kiss. --- be random. Especially with kindness. But, I like random of all sorts. --- mostly, I think, that the most important lesson and the one that encapsulates all the previous information, is really liking who you are at this tine. Right now, it comes in glimpses for me..but I see who I am and I love Roy Agee. Thank you for all the love!! Yall are awesome
