What: Telescope observing Where: Kaufman Sports Complex, Hawley St. When: Fri or Sat. night, 8:00-11:00pm, Oct. 3 or 4th (if 3rd is cloudy, postpone to 4th) Who: Marquette Astronomical Society, a local astronomy club Marquette Astronomical Society will set up telescopes at the Kaufman Sports Complex (soccer field) on Fri or Sat. night, weather permitting. Viewing will be from 8:00-11:00 pm. Scopes will be setup near the at end of the parking lot. Objects observed: The Waxing Gibbous Moon. Planets Mars, a galaxy, star clusters and double stars. Bring your telescope or binoculars and Astronomy iphone Application, if you have either. Maps of the Moon with its current phase & features will be provided. Please park in the spaces near Hawley St. and walk to where the scopes are setup to avoid car light glare.
