What a #WorldCup it had been! Brazil as a country has been immensely successful. Despite all the threats of internal political chaos, Brazil was able to stage one of the finest World Cups ever – Beautiful and attractive. My father told me that Mexico 1970 had been the best World Cup of all times with Espana 1982 coming just close to it. Mexico 1970 hardly provided any dullness – no teams went with a defensive mindset and showed enough zest to score goals. And above all, the matches were contested with the true spirit of football. This World Cup 2014 had been brilliant. The number of thrilling matches had been more while some of the stars simply rocked the stage. They were a treat to watch. Some referring errors might have killed the charm but the positive impact of most of the matches and individual players had been so bright that such errors can hardly be noticed. Teams like Germany, Holland, France, Colombia, Costa Rica, Algeria and co had glorified this World Cup with their classic display. In the end, it was great to see the best team lifting the trophy. Brazil as a team have lost friends but as a host, as a country; they have won the hearts of everyone. It was a very enjoyable tournament. Brazil as a nation of football and music had been terrific. Brazil and Brazilians are the best! There was always telephone conversation with Tanoy Dutta dada and Nafiz Ahmed Momen vai regarding match situation and so on and I heavily enjoyed the company of people like Domenico Chianese , Augusto Senna and Basab Datta dada. I hope to continue with you people in days to come. Thanks for making me realize that once I understood football as well.....though over the years plenty of rusts have accumulated in that footballing brain.
