What a beautiful last day in Paris!! Everyone east very excited that we were able to sleep in today. Breakfast wasnt until 9:00 and we didnt leave until 10:00!!! A huge change from our normal 6:30 breakfast with the 7am departure!! We left the hotel and took a short walk (a nice, short morning stroll according to Colin our tour guide). It only lasted about 45 minutes!!! We ended up at the Museum of Perfume where some students went though and had a tour. A few found the strong scents to be a bit much so hung out outside in the sunshine. After that museum is was free time and shopping!!! We were taken to Galleries Lafayette which is the very posh shopping centre. Everything there was designer. It was amazing to see all these famous brand names everywhere you looked -- Prada, Gucci, Dior, Burberry, Tiffany, etc. Even the childrens section was all brand name!!! We were there for about three hours before heading back to the hotel for some free time around here and to pack. We left around 5:30 to head to a restaurant for supper which was a curried chicken dish that was actually a huge success. After supper we made our way towards the Arc de Triumph for some shopping around that area and to climb the Arc to watch the lights come on around Paris. It was great!! Then it was back to the hotel for the night. Tomorrow we have another early start -- 6:30 breakfast with a 7am departure time to the airport. Our flight leaves at 11am and we get in Toronto at 1pm. We then dont leave Toronto until 8:55pm and arrive in Gander at 1am. It ends up being 23 hours of travel for us!! Expect some pretty sleepy people at the airport tomorrow night!!! Au revoir Paris!! Youve been great!!
