What a busy day! Started with her appt with the GI doctor at 9 am follow by her appt at clinic at 11am. They drew labs, changed the dressing over her line, and gave her an antibiotic. When her labs came back it showed her potassium at 5.5 which is extremely high and extremely dangerous! So They took her off all her fluids that had potassium in them and put her on basic saline/water for two hours. They drew her labs again and her potassium came back at 3.1, much better! Then we had to wait a few hours to get her new fluids... All in all we didnt get out of there until 6:30. The rest of the week will be extremely busy as well... Tomorrow we have clinic and an appt with the trial doctors and neuroblastoma team, Thursday we meet with the dermatologist which is is actually pretty far from the hospital then back to the hospital for clinic after, followed by her MIBG injection and Friday she has her MIBG scan, CT, and bone marrow biopsies. The weekend should be quite with just clinic on sat and sun, then Monday we will hopefully start the trial! Aside from all our hospital visits, Kylie has been feeling great! We are both getting a little more comfortable with the outside world everyday! Paul tells us that part of belonging to Gods family is a willingness to share in both glory and suffering. You must be willing to suffer, not just as a victim of circumstance, but as one who chooses to endure persecution and hardship for the sake of the kingdom. - Daily Devotional
