Those of you that know me know this is the hardest post for me to write. This evening at 5pm I will be there by my Nevada as he crosses the rainbow bridge. Several days ago he went down hill and has given up. He barely eats and while last week he was walking down stairs and following me around, this week he has not gotten up on his own even once. I sat down with him and felt in my heart that he was telling me he was ready to go. He has no fight and he is not himself. I have done all I can for him and anything more I feel would be selfish. He is ready...this hurts my heart so much as he has been with me since July 1998. We have traveled the US, been through so much together. He is my soul mate in dogs. From the day I met him in the shelter I just knew and so did the staff......the second picture is from when I adopted him. Thank you so much Christy Rich for the first photo..I cannot begin to explain the love I have for that gift and what it means to me. His tricks and attitude got me where I am today. He was my partner...he has brought joy to not only myself but so many others. We will be stopping for pizza on the way to the vet..his favorite food ever! I am sorry to ramble....please....give your fur babies some extra love today for me....as Brandon so beautifully put it Nevada is going to be with God now and he can run and jump again, and that is super good mom . Please prayer for him to pass peacefully and quickly this eve. Love to you all for your support and understanding.
