What a busy few days since we got back from our (very short) - TopicsExpress

What a busy few days since we got back from our (very short) holiday. Catching up on business and of course catching up with friends news and answering emails and messages. We had a lovely 6 days away together even though most of it was spent in the car driving. We caught up with a few of our fellow wildlife carers (wish we had time to catch up with many more) and saw some amazing countryside. It was great to see Anne and Craig Pugsley just before we crossed the border into Victoria, a delicious late afternoon tea at Heathcote - thank you Maraika & Paul Mason - and to catch up with Sharyn & Simone Kostal once we crossed back over the border into South Australia. A big thank you to Tina & Rodney Hudson-Davies who fed us and gave us a bed Friday night. Terry and Rod both headed off to bed about midnight and Tina and I stayed up till about 3:30 am, talking, laughing, crying (we only had a couple of drinks, honest) and having a really good catch-up with Debbie Radde on the phone. A night to remember. :) On the way home we even had the chance to call in and see Harry the Wombat that we had in our care not long ago. It was so good to give him a cuddle and see how big he has grown now. However, I think one of the best parts of the trip was just sharing time together without interruption. We talked non-stop the first couple of days and actually finished conversations. We cant thank our beautiful adopted kids, Fanny & Adrien, for making this trip possible by looking after both the kangaroos and our business whilst we were away. They did a wonderful job and it is going to be really sad when they leave to head home to France in another 10 days time. To their families we say thank you for lending them to us.
