What a day....so grateful for Gods grace in protecting Sabrina and covering her. Spent 5 hours at the ER doing tests on some symptoms shes been having the past couple of weeks. Honestly, it scared me quite a bit this morning. So hard to focus when the health of your child is in the balance. Nothing life threatening was found (thank you Jesus), so we need to see her GP and probably a neurologist. God ministered to me in a mighty way through this. I had so many gut wrenching emotions and so much love for my child this day, and I am merely a man. How much more does my Heavenly Father love me? How much does His heart hurt when He sees us in pain? More than any of us can imagine. On top of that, He has the power to make it go away in an instant, but most times He doesnt. I know if I had the power to make Sabrina perfectly well today, I would have used it. I believe God doesnt heal us right away most times, because He wants us to rely on Him....run to Him....trust in Him. Good times, bad times, in between times. When we feel His firm, protecting, comforting arms around us - when His peace surrounds us like a warm blanket on a cold night - then we truly know the love of the Father, even when our circumstances may be dire. If He just healed us completely and immediately every time we were hurt, thats the ONLY reason we would seek Him. No, He wants to be our Abba Father - our Daddy, at every moment of every day. What a day.....what a peace.
