What a day this has been......Had a busy day but a good day hosting the outdoor Summer Bash at Logan Center. Each years it keeps getting bigger and better. We were blessed with the beautiful day for our fun day. Most of the residents were outside have so much fun listening to the great music, viewing the antique vehicles, eating hotdogs-baked beans-corn on the cob plus having treats such as funnel cakes and cotton candy. Our staff enjoyed themselves also while dancing a little jig with our residents. I would like to thank Ray Perry for having their band Coal Fired playing some really good singing & music, Harold/and his crew from Logan Regional Hospital for the Tents-tables-tents, The Road Angels for bringing some beautiful antique vehicles & good 50s music before the band began playing, Stirrat Community Church which stayed busy preparing funnel cakes, Ronnie Maynard, Cindy Brown, Delberta Fowler (and some of their children) staying busy preparing cotton candy which was provided by Logan Center Employee Involvement group, Lucille Mitchell and dietary staff for for preparing most of the food for our big event, Jonas Elliot and James Dawson for taking care of doing the grilling, Lora Dawson,Christina Adkins, Paula Parsons and Rebecca May for working the food table, Della for doing the photos, Daniel Belcher for being much more than my right hand person but for starting the day off early this morning putting tents/tables up before I even arrived and then assisting me until all was done. I dont want to forget our staff whom were working today (Nurses/Cnas)....You were wonderful with different types of assistance making this a memorable day for our residents. To those were not scheduled to work but came out to help...thanks bunches. If I forgot someone, please forgive me because I do appreciate you. Last, just want Wayne Meadows to know how wonderful it was to see him and hope he and his Church continue to be a part of our Logan Center family. Again, Thank you all..
