What a day yesterday was. An early rise and head for Edinburgh Bus Station to catch the 07-30 bus to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games rugby sevens. Arrived at bùs station, joined the queue and was asked have you booked . No , ok this bus is fully booked but we have one on standby. The standby duly arrived albeit without a functioning ticket machine. After many attempts to fix the machine, the controller dìspatched the bus apologising for the delay and for the fact that those due to pay were getting a freebie. Arrival in Glagow was painless and Ive never seen so many helpers in my life. Free bus to Ibrox watch the matches in comfort and shuttle bus back to the city centre. The only problem encountered the whole day was trying to get food in the city centre. Every restaurant was either fully booked or full. Its not a bad position to be in. Two things stuck out, the atmosphere at Ibrox was fantastic, why cant we replicate that at Murrayfield? And secondly the organisation was great again the SRU should take a good lòok at this. Thank you Glasgow for a great day out
