Lets get acquisition of the knowledge together. Solar radiation from the sun consist of considerably short wave length radiation, with approximately 10% being ultraviolet light, approximately 40% being phanic and about 50% being short wave length near infrared. This radiation is absorbed by the objects of the Earth or inside the forcing house. In the Hothouse, the glass bounces the long Wavelength IR back down. This trapped long wave length Infrared Radiation (IR) is absorbed by objects, which induce further heating, and the cycle continues. In consequence, the Hothouse acts as Solar Collectors.
