What a dissatisfied world we live in ! None of us in this world are satisfied with what we have, be it rich or poor, old or young, black or white, short or tall, lean or fat everybody desire things they dont have.... Why is that so? Because we Love to COMPARE. If you go around the world youll discover that people arent happy with what they have... Dark colored people are bleaching their bodies in an attempt to become fair-complexioned like white people. Whites want to own brown/dark bodies so they go and get their bodies tanned... Those with moles have them operated and removed, while those who dont deliberately implant them and call them beauty spots. Some people want to shed their weight to look like those skinny celebrities, while others want to gain some body fat to have pleasing fullness of figure like those rare chubby actresses..... Those who are short in height wished they were tall and vice versa. The young are tinting their hair white, while the old are dyeing their hair black...... We live in a diseased world. And that disease is called Compare and Despair Syndrome. Isnt it time we just stopped doing these stuff and just be happy with the way we are?! Take a look at this scenario...... We are really happy in our three bedroom house. We feel blessed to live in this house as we are just family of 4 and a three-bedroom house is adequate for us and we love this beautiful sweet house of ours.... But the moment we see our own colleagues / neighbors / friends posh 8 bedroom house with a lovely swimming pool in the backyard we automatically feel like a third-class people.... The next time we enter our house which was once home sweet home now appears to old and clumsy, small and outdated. We seem to, all of a sudden, see all the defects of the house which were apparently never there before. We start feeling deprived, outcast-ed, and dispossessed.... Now read this - Bill Gates total assets are worth $60 billion. Thats more than the GNP of some small countries. Tiger Woods earns $80 million simply by smiling on TV in a Nike shirt..... The point is, no matter how hard you work and how much time you spend there will still be some people who will be richer than you and there will be some people who will be more beautiful than you and have more problems than you..... So Try this for once. Stop looking around. Dont compare! Dont compare her eyes with your eyes.... Dont compare his position with yours........ Dont compare her childrens grades with your childrens grades.... Dont compare his salary with your salary......... Dont compare her Lumpy deposits of fat with yours..... Dont compare his car with yours...... Just stop comparing and START living! I assure you, you will be the happiest person this way... Always Remember ! The most difficult thing in the world is trying to be who you are not. Pretending and trying to be someone else has unfortunately become the official pastime of the human beings today.(Do you think dogs, and cats, and monkeys, and donkeys have this problem? NO!) Believe me! The EASIEST thing in the world is to be YOURSELF. Stop living someone elses life ! Be happy and live your own life ! There must be a reason why God made you tall or short or fat or thin or chubby all over... Love who you are, its not that difficult.... Always Remember, Comparing is destructive. It can damage our relationship with ourselves, with others and most importantly with God as it makes one become ungrateful for the blessings that He has showered upon us...... Try being yourself ! You will Love It !
