What a game...for the wrong, daft, idiotic decisions! What did we create in the game, apart from Kees second half header and Matty Palmers chance (should of burried it) the penalty was the only real bit of quality shown by any of our players today Im afraid to say. 10 minutes into the second half, yes were not playing well, but thats not a reason for Rowett to bring of Knowles (a striker) and replace him with Palmer (a midfielder) this means Rowett has gone negative too early into the match! The reason why we didnt hold of the pressure of their play was because if Billy Kee didnt hold the ball up, or win his headers (which I thought he hardly misses any of them today, he was epic!) the play was coming straight back again! Surely thats defeating the object Gary? Now onto why he didnt put Adam McGurk up front with Kee @ the end. Yes I know McGurk isnt a forward, but he would of done a decent job up there with Billy. Another body up top, to aim for, play the ball down the channels, make the opposition kick the ball into touch, waste valuable seconds in a game that really the performance didnt matter, the result did! Thats how you stop teams playing against you Mr Rowett. Why did he have to bring Gray on injury time anyway?? Surely thats made the ref put a few more seconds on the clock, that all adds up @ the final whistle. Still though for the ref to look at his watch 3 times before the final corner. He should of put his foot down! Blown the whistle and ended the game! Despite all that, Im sure Gary, Kevin will get the boys back in training this week, and get them ready for the huge test coming up on Saturday, a trip to Glanford Park, to face a tough Scunthorpe side. Onwards and upwards. #UTB!!!!
