What a glamorous Saturday - whole morning spent sorting out Frankie and her poorly hoof- extra mucking out, water changes and refilling haynets (one of the most frustrating jobs in the world!) - and the highlight of the morning - applying not one, not two but three poultices to the offending foot (the most frustrating job in the world!) - only had to turn my back and the blinking thing was off! Houdini couldnt have done a better job. I hate duct tape and vetwrap. ( yes Stephanie Kirkwood - I know you offered your expert help but I was determined to do it!) Early afternoon was spent helping Wayne carry logs for our woodburner...... Late afternoon saw a return to the farm to find that horse had escaped from the third poultice - how smug she was! So more vetwrap and duct tape and swear words! The nicest thing anyone of my family has said today -you stink! I did have one bright moment - I found and ate a cream egg Id hidden from myself! Roll on Sunday!
