What a glorious day today at the sacred heart cathedral as the papal nuncio his excellency most rev.Augustin kasujja was on hand to celebrate with us our golden jubilee (50years). The celebration was grace with the present of the bishop emeritus of orlu diocese, the bishop of the apostolic vicarate of bomadi, the bishop of the arch-diocese of benin his grace most rev. John akubueze along side our own bishop most rev.dr john Afareha, reveren fadas, reveren sisters,knights not forgetting the deputy governor of delta state professor Amos otuama and his wife was also in attendance and also the nuncio secretary rev.fr anthony from spain was also in attendance. The mass started at 10.30am presided over by the nuncio during the mass the chairman of the commitee very rev.fr anthony anamali, the bishop and the deputy governor welcome the nuncio to the diocese of warri and also wish him journey mercies as he go back to abuja high point of the mass was the presentation of gift by the nuncio to the vicar general, the deputy governor and also the papacy blessing to warri diocese. After the mass reception was head outside the cathedral. there was cultural dances presented by the urhobos, the itshekiri, the ijaws and also there was breaking of kolanuts, culting of the golden jubilee cake, presentation of gift by the jubilee commitee chairman very.rev fr. Anthony anamali to the nuncio and also the social commication chairman of warri diocese rev.fr benedict ukutegbe also presented gifts to the nuncio and to the bishop. We pray that God we continue to unite us to work for the growth of warri diocese. Amen
