What a great day it was. Gabriel did so well. I was worried about the transition. But its like hes been there before, he seemed at home as soon as we walked in. He has been super content all day. We got a good bit of one on one time before the girls got home from school. I showed him around, let him try out his swing, bouncy seat and bumbo seat. He enjoyed them all. He really liked his swing. We snuggled on the couch for a bit, I gave him all his meds (man does he have alot). When the girls came in (my younger two Madison and Ryleigh) they said Gabriel! Ran upstairs faster then I ever seen, changed there school clothes so they dont bring home germs from school, scrubbed there arms and hands and was back down to see baby brother in no time. They were so happy to see him. He loved watching them. When Alyssa my oldest got there, she immediately wanted to hold him. He did so good with her, didnt cry a bit. We spent the whole day just loving on him. Grandma and Grandpa came to see him and they were over the moon. My Dad has had multiple strokes and has Parkinsons disease and Didnt get down to the hospital as much as he would have liked so it was so nice to have him there. Both of my parents. They are so in love with Gabriel as we all are. My best friend Ashley her hubby Paul and the kids came by to see baby Gabe and brought him balloons and a very sentimental present. Thank you Ashley. Me and the girls gave him a bath, weighed him checked his sats (which have been amazing btw) and got him all ready for bed. They were SO helpful today, I let them help with feeding, diaper changes etc. I want them involved as much as possible and they were so happy to help. I am so proud of my girls they are amazing big sisters. I managed to have all kids in bed by 8:30. Gabriel has been sleeping like a rock since!! What a wonderful first day home. Thank you everyone for your comments today they were so special. One day I plan to print all of this out to show him how loved he was. Now let me try and get a little bit of sleep. Have to get up two more times to administer meds and give feeds. I planned on going to sleep when he did at 830 but I have not been able to take my eyes off of him. Hes attached to my bed in a cosleeper. He still has his little space but with in arms reach of Mommy. :) Goodnight everyone. Enjoy the pics of Gabes first day home!!
