What a great day with my boys. We usually have a big birthday party for Daniel. Usually between 20 - 30 people. This year, all he wanted was to spend his actual birthday with mom and dad. So, Michael took the day off and Daniel got his wish. It was a busy day starting at 7:30 AM with taking Toby to the neuter clinic, home for a breakfast of fresh fruit, then off again. We saw the new Transformer movie (2 hour and 45 mins), a visit to Game Stop and then dinner at Red Lobster, then home for Dairy Queen smores ice cream cake with a few great friends. Daniel has thanked us 5 or 6 times tonight for such a special day. Makes Michael and I feel good that Daniel actually wanted to spend his day with his parents and not friends. Now, that is quality family time.
