What a great, great, day for the team and a big milestone for Gerry Harvey, breeding his first Group 1 winner in New Zealand since acquiring Westbury Stud when Miss Mossman careered away to win the Wellfield New Zealand Oaks at Trentham this afternoon. A $25,000 yearling purchase by John Sargent for long time owners Bruce and Craig Clothier of Matamata, Miss Mossman has now won three races and takes her earnings past $225,000 and makes her a very valuable proposition when she retires to stud. A big congratulations to Hayden Allen who trains in partnership with John and racks up his first Group 1 winner in his own name - well done to the Sargent/Allen team!
