What a great humility of Guru Sahibans ji, they had never taken any credit for their compositions enshrined in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. They Always credited the Almighty Waheguru ji. ਜੈਸੋ ਗੁਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਆ ਮੈ ਤੈਸੋ ਕਹਿਆ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ॥ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੫੮॥ “Jaiso Gur Oupadhaesiaa Mai Thaiso Kehiaa Pukaar || Naanak Kehai Sun Rae Manaa Kar Keerathan Hoe Oudhhaar.” Sggs ji; ang 214 As the Guru has taught me, so have I spoken. Says Nanak, listen, people: sing the Kirtan of the Lords Praises, and you shall be saved. ਜੈਸੀ ਮੈ ਆਵੈ ਖਸਮ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਤੈਸੜਾ ਕਰੀ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਵੇ ਲਾਲੋ ॥ “jaisi mein aawe khasam ki baani, taiserra kari gyaan vai Lalo” ang 722 As the Word of the Forgiving Lord comes to me, so do I express it, O Lalo . Today, if we achieve something or create/compose anything; we advertise in the whole world that I have done this. We all need to learn this aspect too from Guru Sahiabans.
