My Jetta broke down on the road from Humansdorp to Cape St Francis on 1 May whilst I was taking my kids to the SA long boarding champs. I arranged for my friend to come from Cape St Francis to collect my kids whilst I attended to the challenge on hand. The Jetta alarm signal was gearbox overheat and I was unable to drive my car further – it was determined to be an electronic problem which has subsequently been repaired under warranty. The reason for my note is to commend: - VW Alert – an individual called Mohammed was truly awesome in handling my call and in obtaining the assistance of your Bertus followed by a tow truck which took my car back to your Jeffreys Bay dealership; he also followed up at regular intervals. - Bertus, who arrived in about 30minutes and diagnosed the problem to be electronic and who then stayed with me until the tow truck arrived and then took me to your dealership and locked the car away for him to review the next day. He then dropped me at a coffee shop in JBay shortly after which my hired car arrived. Bertus went out his way to look after me. Bertus deserves a Service Hero award. - I have received my car back yesterday in good working condition. I actually enjoyed the problem – amazing what good service does. Thank you. Kind regards
