What a lovely way to start the week, and its ALL I needed :) Thanks to the caring guy, Cha-Cha Ride Pete, at the St Clares annual Fair, this Saturday just gone, who took a little bit of time and effort, and common sense, to set up a private fence around our nesting Plover, before the big fence was erected around the Cha Cha ride. Her first of 4 eggs started to hatch in the hot sun, around 11.15 am, when the Fair was at its busiest, and she was not at all happy. She was panicking, and I actually thought at the time, the chicks would die from stress........ Yelling and screaming kids, noise, people poking and prodding, and only a metre from a Fair Ride, she sat on her eggs, while the male kept guard further away (typical !!). Anyway, have just been into school, and theres 4 very healthy little cotton balls on stilts running around......A mothers determination will NEVER fail !! WIN : Plover ! WIN: Cha-Cha Ride, Pete Pity theres not more people like this on the planet :)
