What a missed opportunity. The Nation ofd Israel had a unique position - a special people. And through HIS people Israel Jehovah would demonstrate HIS power, HIS loving kindness and HIS mercy. All the nations round about could see how they were blessed and how they benefited when they were obedient to their husbandly owner - they were to be witnesses of HIS and rule as a nation of Kings and priests in GODS Kingdom. They left HIM. They did not keep clean as worshippers of the TRUE GOD - they were not true to their dedication back on Mt. Sinai in 1513 BCE. - Matthew 26 A new nation has been selected...a peoples willing to live according to Jehovahs requirements. They would publish HIS DIvine name and HIS purpose. You have seen this New Nation - HIS faithful witnesses. They number 8 million today; are made up of every tribe and nation - a great crowd.
