What a nice dinner we had. Roast Lamb Sausages in a chopped tomato, whole baby potatoes, mix veges and white wine casserole. Sprinkled with salt, tarragon and mixed herbs. S L O W L Y cooked over 10 hours. Love those slow cookers. Chuck it in. Switch it on (well I do before putting ingredients). Mix. And forget about it. I check mine after 4hrs and then I put a tea towel between the lid and pot. Cook on low for another 6 hrs. Dish up and enjoy. Next time Ill add some spinach and thinly sliced red onion (might actually add caramelized onion). Even the blokes enjoyed it. Had a bit of an outing with missie this arvo. Lake ranch, via back of the lake. The farm via town. Stopping off at Skinners. All GGs happy as Larry (the rooster). Found something disturbing in the boys paddock which has me a bit worried now. Simba enjoyed todays grazing as he didnt do the dishes. Plonked the tribe back into their overnight paddock and missie was all excited because simba was having a good roll (after he saw Mr minimus having a relaxing roll). Fingers crossed (hooves, paws and claws) its a nice afternoon tomorrow because I so want to ride. I really need to sort out the grazing for Harry and Silver up here. Cant afford $60-$100 a week in petrol. Paying $40 a week up here wouldnt blow my bank account into debt. Id have money left to buy the good feed that Harry used to be on. All those hrs I put in up at the farm wasnt even taken off my grazing (sometimes 20hrs a week until I cut down. Imagine that at min wage for 3 months). I got a free horsemanship clinic ($150) and a few schooling/riding lessons at $60/hr. I also paid an extra $15 a week for haylage. I have no issues working for barter. Any one who needs a stablehand groom, let me know. Available for swap of cheap/free grazing. I enjoy the work.
