What a nostalgic and interesting photo by irememberSG! Do you know that the Change-of-Guard ceremony takes place outside the Istana every first Sunday of the month? The parade is led by the Silent Precision Drill Squad of the Military Police. Backed by music from the SAF Central Band, these guys never fail to wow the crowd with their swift and precise twirling of rifles. If you havent seen the changing of the guard at the Istana, you can catch the action this Sunday, 4 May 2014, 6pm, at the Istana main gate! The new guard contingent will march along Orchard Road towards the Istana to take over from the present guard.
