What a roller coaster this recent Election cycle has been here in the PNW. Early wins end up sliding away, yet many ballots remain to be counted in a state using all mail-in ballots. The worst thing is just over 22% of registered voters bothered to vote when mail-ins makes it easy to study & deliberate before casting the ballot. It demonstrates the deep alienation of the MAJORITY of voters no longer give a shit as they experience little or no difference in outcome. Especially as corporations with big bucks dominate the electoral process & the two-party system. Not much changes in the bigger picture of economic systems, foreign policy, & political corruption. The Dems & Reps instead rile people up on emotional & divisive social issues that while individually important still does not affect changes & reforms to address the convergence of global problems threatening to overwhelm our planetary civilization.
