What a sad/happy day! Lectored for the last time at St. Anthony at 9 AM - sad but I am accepting of my decision to resign as a lector as Holy Spirit directed - validated by incidents at Mass today Joined the St. Anthony choir at St. Clement Campus for Mass at 10:30 - joyfully welcomed - enjoyable Mass Followed by brunch with friends from 2 parish campuses - what fun! Reminds me of a poem my Grandma King kept taped to her kitchen cabinet... "God hath not promised skies always blue, Flower strewn pathways all our lives through; God hath not promised sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, peace without pain. But God hath promised strength for the day, Rest for the labor, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from above, Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
