What a summer! With the BSA National Jamboree, brief visits with two of our "kids" who are expecting additions this fall, and returning home to mow the grass. A good friend came over last week to help me get the old 85 diesel pickup running again, after a fuel line was pulled loose from the fuel tank a year or so ago. After a number of repairs we got it running. A couple of days later I am running it on the freeway, and it starts running floorboarded at 45 mph, then 35 mph, then 10.... So, I switch fuel tanks and pull it over to the side and manage to keep it running until it is smooth enough to get it home. I let it set a day or two, and now it will not start. So, back to the repairs. Thoughts are the old fuel is messing up the injectors, and maybe the new fuel pump. We will see. Hopefully this week. Diana wants it fixed and running, and maybe out of our driveway. I keep telling her it is the only 4x4 we have, but of course, not running makes it of little use. Got to go to the Eagle Scout Ceremony for Nick Schmahl in Marysville, Ohio. Congrats Nick. Job well done. I was reminded that he joined Boy Scouts because I had given him a copy of "Boys Life" magazine. Great things do come from small gestures sometimes. Today is Sunday. It is a great day. God bless everyone.
