What a way to start the morning. I was going to take Les to work so I could go to CDA this morning and get a lift from Harbor Freight, I needed the pickup. Well lets take Arlene and we can have breakfast in CDA, all sounds good. All three of us were in the pickup when I put the key in the ignition and turn the key to start the pickup and it may have turned over once and KERPOW just like a rifle had been fired. I stopped turning the starter and here come the blue smoke from under the pickup. I started turning starter again because I though I may have a carberator fire, this pickup has fuel injection. But anyway as I am turning the starter over the motor started to run wide open now the wife is out of the pickup and I am telling Arlene to get out also. I think what had happened was last night Les and me were talking about a newer pickup and we were within hearing range of this pickup and I am positive that it heard us talking about getting ride of it, so it decided to fix us. Pickup won! Now it sits in the driveway with the hood open looking fine. Les had to drive her 4-wheeler to work.
