What a weekend at the Nationals. Bradley had to jump up to a higher weight category and still had some success and grows in confidence with each competition. Finn Sweetman had some tough bouts, but he pulled something out of the bag in the last few seconds on a couple of occasions. Kegan Ellmers unfortunately further damaged her injured shoulder and had a trip to A&E. Both Louise Kelly & David Jordan had the privilege to test themselves against Commonwealth games medal winners Moira DeVilliers and Jason Koster - both fights were a pleasure to watch and Louise & Dave did us proud and are a credit to themselves. Thanks heaps for coming over from Sydney Dave, that quality training with Mark Brewer is clearly paying off - along with the easy living! John Maxwell had a good run out in the Masters division where against a strong field he pulled out a bronze medal. Sorry mate I didnt know you were going for the open as well - bagged himself a silver in that! Stefan Heinrich flew the flag for Motueka in the +90kg.
