What a weekend of shooting for the Tombstone Ghost Riders! 73 riders on Saturday and 50 riders on Sunday. Riders from Canada and France! California and New Mexico were well represented; we thank them for coming over to play with us. Even Prescott riders came down! lol Thursday’s Thanksgiving dinner was over flowing with 70 some folks feasting until they couldn’t move! Fridays ride into Tombstone was 40 strong, what a picture they made riding down main street Tombstone in their finest duds. (you can see some pics from my posting on Friday below) They were armed with gift certificates from Tina Millers Tombstone Mercantile & Hotel, Bandit and Belle’s and the Tombstone Hot Dog Stand and the Red Buffalo Trading Company. Saturday we gave out $4950 in money winnings, plus 12 buckles and 13 silver bullets. Clean shooters jackpot paid out $50 each! 34 riders received payback! Best dressed gift certificates from Bronco Trading Company went to Todd Fairweather and Susan Anderson. Overall Cowgirl and match overall winner was Kimberly Larsen and Overall Cowboy was Greg Mathiesen Thanks to our buckle sponsors! It was followed by a mini Wedding reception with cake for Todd and Heather Fairweather! Then came the very talented, talent contest, the grand finale being Cowboy Doug, Shorty and his prize donkey! Sunday 50 riders stayed to play in our no frills match. 12 clean shooters picked up $30 each in the jackpot and prizes were given out to 30 plus riders including a beautiful headstall to the Overall Cowgirl Heather Fairweather and a set of Stirrups to the overall Cowboy and match overall winner Scott Little, both donated by Nancy Crosby. Oh and 20 Tombstone Riders coffee cups were given to the top 10 both days! All in all it was a perfect weekend of shooting and fellowship with our Mounted shooting family. Our next match is our New Years blast on January 4th and 5th, cant wait to see everyone again for another fantastic fun filled weekend of shooting!
