What a whipped Sunday we got, lashed at by the violent winds that occurred almost all of the morning today. It even caused the electricity and water supply to be off. We cut off more Chinese bamboos for it threatened to break our glass walls. The external pin lights went askew and a wall brick fell down to the ground. Hubby and I feared for safety within our grounds. What if we walked by and the brick happens to fall? No one wants a cracked skull… So everyone in the house had an adrenaline rush: I, hubby and house staff chopped off the branches, piled the cuttings, caught flying objects in the garden and chucked it all in the vacant lot. What really challenged us is when the wind attacks like a hurricane. It overpowers us. We were four holding the bamboo bases and yet we are nearly toppled. What we did is stop chopping when the wind gusts so we could find our balance [our teen house staff was up the wall!] then continue when it calms. We finally accomplished clearing. What’s this Sunday reflection all about? Nature’s wrath mirrors humankind’s fury. When anger fills the heart of someone, never ever meet with your own anger. Learn to humble yourself and make the proper timing for entry. Collision is bound to happen if you refuse to be meek. Another thing is the essence of team work. Nothing beats working together for the common good. How I love to shout out “we got team work at home!!!” How about you?
