What a wonderful day we had at the Whittier Church of God today!! We observed the churchs 100th. year with family and friends of the church. We had the grandchildren of Rev. W P Walker, he was the one that started the church in 1914. We also had many members of the Wood family and the Gasaway family. Rev. Randal Parris was our afternoon speaker. Bro. Randy used to be part of the church when he was younger and both sets of his grandparents were part of the church. He brought a wonderful timely message about the Harvest. He is in the International Church of God offices now. And our pastor, Rev. Ned Pressley was able to bring the morning message, PTL!! Special thanks go to Tony and Dawn Oliver, Raymond and Bonnie Cochran, Tim and Lory White for doing so many things to make this a memorable day. Our church members have really stepped up and helped out so much during Pastors recovery. We love you and thank you so very much!!! We thank God for such a wonderful group of people.
