“What a wonderful surprise” Reviewed 6 days ago NEW My wife and I decided on a last minute basis to take a mid year break in the midlands during school holidays . I viewed the latest comments on trip advisor about midlands saddle and trout- to say the least we arrived extremely concerned as to what we would find. Well... it is a very long time since I have been so pleasantly surprised, from the GM Prudence Xaba to Alson after hours on the front desk every single staff member treated us with total courtesy, nothing was too much trouble and it appeared that it actually was a pleasure to help and serve us , Prudence really leads from the front in this regard, even going so far as to arrange a horse riding lesson from external sources for my 11 year old stepson!. The chalets are clean, towels are fluffy but I do agree they need a bit of a face lift and maintenance. The facilities equipment, from the golf clubs to hire to the tack for the horses is clean, and in very good condition. The self catering chalets have everything one would want or require and are really a home from home. Contrary to other reports, our braai was cleaned every morning before we were awake. Although it was winter whilst we were there the views and ambience are superb and must be awesome in summer when all is green. I really am able, unreservedly, to recommend Midlands Saddle & Trout for a good fun filled holiday for a family of all ages. thanks to Prudence and your team We Will Be Back.
